Description
The sunset tour will depart from Torre Vado harbor, and its departure time varies throughout the
season based on the sunset time.
Departure will be from the small harbor of Torre Vado, sailing towards the marina of San Gregorio, where we’ll admire the beautiful villa of historical and geographical importance, a symbol of this marina. We’ll resume sailing, reaching the first cave of the Ionian Sea, the Dragon’s Cave. After the first cave, we’ll spot the others: the Stable Cave, the Giants’ Cave, the Three Doors Cave, and the River Cave.
We’ll pause near each for explanations and to take souvenir photos. The navigation will continue to Punta Ristola, the heel of Italy. From this point, we’ll continue sailing towards the beautiful marina of Leuca, characterized by 19th-century villas in Greek-Arab style, bathing huts where noble women bathed, the monumental staircase, and the lighthouse that dominates with its majesty.
The navigation will end in Leuca, and we’ll return to the turquoise waters bays where we’ll stop for a swim break.
Waiting for the sunset at sea before returning to the harbor, an aperitif will be served on board by the crew, featuring friselline with tomato, capers, and anchovies, typical Salento bread, small pizzas, and Martinucci pastries, along with fresh fruit. The drinks offered during the aperitif are: Coca-Cola,
Vecchia Torre Negroamaro rosé wine, Petrelli winery prosecco.
Explanations during the tour can be in Italian, English, and French via audio, and German on paper.
The aperitif will be served with a plate for each family unit or booking group.
